As President Obama pushed for Congress to complete health care reform legislation in the next few weeks, Jim Lehrer talks to Washington Post reporter Ceci Connolly and political analyst Norm Ornstein about the tactics Democrats might use to try to pass their reform plans without Republican support.

Washington always claims that one of its top foreign policy initiatives is to spread democracy and freedoms around the world. But in December the US House of Representatives voted by an overwhelming majority to pass a bill punishing Arab TV stations that engage in “anti-American incitement to violence”. What are the implications of such a law for the concept of free speech?

This news just came across the wire not more then 30 minutes ago. It is official, Ron Paul has won a straw poll that was conducted by the notorious CPAC.  You can see one of the speaker’s remarks here. Although this remark is one of less-professional of the bunch. But, calling your president a cocaine abuser seems to be popular.

Now, we have all experienced cases where we thought our privacy was violated. It could have been that someone was easing in on a conversation or someone was digging through your belongings, but most of us have had an experience like this. Whether we know it or not. With the advent of the computer and internet age, we are experiencing a whole new type of spy games.

The recent election of Scott Brown to the Senate seat that was held by Ted Kennedy has caused quite a stir among both parties. The Republicans are claiming a victory against Obama and liberal ideologies, while the Democrats are claiming that this has more to do with a poor campaign by Martha Coakley and co. The truth, as usual, lies somewhere in-between.
