I was sitting in my 10th grade Chemistry class on September 11th of 2001. I remember my teacher, Mr. Sufka telling us what had happened. They originally tried to make the exclusion zone 300 feet. They claim that this is done to ensure the safety of the public. However, it is currently preventing reporters and members of the media from reporting the conditions down in the Gulf.
