Texas Rep. Ron Paul is known as being a staunch Republican-Libertarian hybrid that has incredible disdain towards the federal government. He has also produced a few sons, one of which has decided to run for the Senate in Kentucky.
Rand Paul is an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) and founder of Kentucky Taxpayers United, an anti-taxation organization. He has also spent considerable amounts of time crusading for his father, Ron, on his numerous Presidential campaigns.
Congressman Ron Paul had this to say regarding his sons campaign:

“I actually hoped that the failure of Reaganism in practice would kill it. It turns out, however, to be a zombie doctrine: even though it should be dead, it keeps on coming” (Paul Krugman).
“Deficits mean future tax increases, pure and simple. Deficit spending should be viewed as a tax on future generations, and politicians who create deficits should be exposed as tax hikers” (Texas Rep. Ron Paul).
The House of Representatives are faced with a dilemma that is soon to become a crisis. The current Health Care bill, (HR 3200) entitled “America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009” has been deemed a disaster by many Democrats and a Nazi-esque power grab by the loudest of Conservatives. The debate over health care reform rages on and becomes less clear by the day.

The House Democrats are proposing a resolution officially disapproving of Rep. Joe Wilson’s usage of the words “you lie.” Most people would agree that this is not appropriate conduct for our Congress. Some are urging that he resigns, or apologize in a formal manner on the floor of the house. I was shocked when I heard what Rep. Wilson shouted, but I did not “dislike” it. In many other countries, including England, China, and France, the politics gets rough and rowdy. It is also very entertaining.

Obama in my opinion kicked ass tonight in a speech to Congress, on the ninth of September. He entertained, debated and explained his positions clearly and in an articulate manner. This was a speech that could possibly go down in history as one of the most integral moments in the battle to obtain universal healthcare.

White house adviser Van Jones has resigned amid controversy. A few years back Jones signed a petition that called for an investigation into the level of involvement our government or members of our government may have had in the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. Jones also made comments in 2005 saying that after the Rodney King trial he became disenfranchised, “By August, I was a Communist.”
Jones said in a statement that, “On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.”

Attorney General Eric Holder has recently launched an investigation into the CIA’s use of water-boarding and other methods of torturing people. In a very surprising and daring move the GOP’s conduit of complaining, Dick Cheney, is taking offense to this. What a shocker.

People should always retain a watchful eye on the government. We have good reason to distrust them; we have been lied to, cheated and deliberately led into false wars. Vietnam, Iraq and Spain/Cuba come to mind. The Bush administration wire-tapped US citizens, tortured people all over the world and lied to the American public to lead us into a war for reasons not yet known.
So with that being said, here is the direct quote about what you, as a concerned US citizen should do if you face misinformation about health insurance reform.

According to GM the new Chevy Volt will achieve a modest 230 MPG. The Extended-Range Electric Vehicle will be able to propel passengers approximately 40 miles on a single charge and roughly 300 miles with the help of a small gasoline powered engine.
“The Chevy Volt is designed to move more than 75 percent of America’s daily commuters without a single drop of gas. That means for someone who drives less than 40 miles a day, Chevy Volt will use zero gasoline and produce zero emissions”.
