So, the mid-term elections are behind us, for the most part. Excluding a few recounts (I’m looking at you Minnesota). What is confusing to me about these elections is that people voted for both parties. In Minnesota, the Republican Party took the State Senate and State House for the first time in a very long time. But, the DFL (MN Democrats) took the Governorship for the first time since the eighties.

I found two interesting and contradictory articles online recently.One of these is a Politico article by James Hohmann. He says in his byline, “More bad polls. More bad fundraising numbers. More dreary talk on the Sunday shows.” Many of you may see this and say, ‘so what?’

Joe Miller, the candidate for Senate in Alaska has also gotten some bad press lately. This time it is because his security staff who reportedly roughed up and handcuffed a reporter after it was found out he wanted to ask Miller about his past.
