The House of Representatives this past Saturday night, on November 7th, 2009, passed a historic bill to bring much needed “reform” to the health care of the United States. This bill was met with much fan-fare and has created a ton of momentum for the Democrats heading into the vote in the Senate.

If you have been watching the news lately you would most likely think that the Republicans have managed a remarkable upset and coup d’état against a popular and progressive President. Unfortunately for you anti-progressive GOPers out there this is not the case. But you have been duped into believing your leaders once again. Besides key elections for the Governorships of Virginia and New Jersey, the Republicans won very little.

Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina is fear mongering, this is clear. But she is also a peddler of misinformation and lies. In one of the most egregious and striking comparisons yet, Rep. Foxx said that the Democrat’s health care bill should be feared MORE then terrorism. “I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country.”

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is set to announce former Democratic National Committee chairman Paul G. Kirk Jr. as the successor to Sen. Ted Kennedy today. Kirk is a close fried to the Kennedy family and has reportedly received their blessings to be Ted’s replacement.
Kirk served as DNC chairman from 1985 to 1989. He is an attorney who went to Harvard for his JD and his BA. He also served as an assistant to Ted Kennedy from 1969-1977. Kirk was a superdelegate in the 2008 general election and cast his vote for Barack Obama.
