Normally, I would do some research on an issue and then give my two cents and move on. Living in MN we get a lot of the pro-ethanol propaganda and to be fair, I am not very knowledgeable on the subject.

This is thoroughly disgusting. It was bad enough that we went to war with Iraq almost solely to spur the defense industry. It is bad enough that we had a vice-president who was head of this company.

Campbell’s soups have been trusted basics of nutrition all of my life. I have always considered Campbell’s soups to be a safe, economical and nutritious choice for a quick meal. Dutch Trading Company, Trafigura, has agreed to pay $46m to the 30,000 people who were harmed because of their illegal dumping of toxic waste in the African state of Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast). This is to be in addition to the $198 million that was paid by Trafigura directly to the government of Cote d’Ivoire.
This case caught my attention for a few reasons. First off, anytime a multi-national corporation is accused of harming 30,000 people in Africa I think it is important to say something.
