“T-Pa” as President? You better believe it! The one-man veto machine (commonly referred to as Governor Pawlenty) might be taking his show on the road. He has recently announced his intentions to not run for a third term as Governor of Minnesota. This means that he has something else up his sleeve because it would be very odd for Pawlenty, at age 48, to end his political career.
It seems more and more likely that he will be entering a 2012 Presidential contest that already will feature such dynamos as Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, Fox News favorite Mike Huckabee, the Mormon Millionaire Mitt Romney, the Great Orator Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and now everyone’s favorite fiscal conservative, “T-Pa.”
We all know that Palin will not win. Huckabee is too religious right and will also fail, most likely by offering to “convert” those who do not believe in his “Christianity.” Bobby Jindal can’t speak well enough to hold the attention span of anyone, especially entertainment saturated American minds.
Mitt is Mormon, and if the USA as a whole will not elect a Catholic (except JFK) what is going to happen to a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints? So, we of course have the great leaders of the GOP left, we have Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney, maybe Jeb Bush and of course Ron Paul.
Ron Paul won’t win. Dick Cheney is crazy and can barely garner a 35% approval rating; the Republicans are obviously not going to run this Dick.
Jeb Bush would be a legitimate candidate, if it weren’t for his brother. If Jeb is able to overcome the past Bush failures, (there seem to be a lot of them), he is poised to be the 2012 GOP nominee. He has decided to not run for the upcoming Senate election, which leaves many to wonder about his intentions. He has long been considered the most politically astute of the Bush heirs, but I would not bet on seeing him anytime soon.
This leaves us with two legitimate (as legitimate as the GOP can be) candidates. We have the Junky Radio Rampager Rush Limbaugh and the quiet and fiscally conservative Tim Pawlenty.
If Rush decides to run, which is a huge if, he would lack support from the moderate conservatives who view him as an entertainer, rather than a true political wonk. Rush has his former drug addiction, his many incendiary comments and a long list of people who adamantly dislike him.
Pawlenty is likeable and he is from a Midwestern state that shares a number of characteristics with the Republican base. Pawlenty is fiscally and religiously conservative and comes from a working class background. He is the prototypical business and money Republican and he is someone the GOP should pay close attention to.
We are living in a world that is run by the Democrats. Once Al Franken becomes seated as a Senator from Minnesota Obama will have a filibuster proof majority. This is a scary proposition. Our country is great because of the balance between the GOP and the Democrats. This is a balance that no longer exists. In its place are years of GOP and Bush war mongering and economic idiocracy followed by at least 4 years of socially liberal policies that are costing us way too much.
For the USA to be a great country and a world leader we must maintain our moderate views and get back to our fiscally conservative and socially liberal roots. “T-Pa” is by far the best Politico that the GOP could throw into the fight against Obama. He has likeability, can deliver a speech and is a guaranteed victor in the Iowa caucus.
Instead of in-fighting and pussy-footing around the issues it is time for the GOP to regain its strength. They must do so by going back to their core business friendly beliefs. The past eight years of Republican leadership have left the US Citizenry crying for change. This change does not have to be drastic and ill-conceived.
This change can be accomplished in a way that is fiscally responsible and morally acceptable. The past two presidents have had a hard time grasping and emphasizing these aspects all at once.
Unseating Obama will not be easy, maybe not possible. But, if it is going to happen, the GOP will need a strong and confident “T-Pa” to emphasize the financial mistakes that Obama has made (there seem to be a lot of them).

T-Pa does not know what is going on. I really, really, really hope that he does not get anywhere with his campaign,
