State vs. Federal Government

State vs. Federal Government

The classic debate of State vs. Federal power has been raging in the United States since its inception. We even fought a Civil War over the issue awhile back, in case you have forgotten.

Well, the debate is still going to this day. There are pros and cons to both sides, but what is better for the United States?

Would the United States be better run as a Confederacy of States?

Or, is it best to maintain our course and keep the powers of the Federal Government intact?

I could also ask the question another way:

Do you think that the Federal Government can manage a State more effectively then the residents of that State?

The Feds don’t know what they are doing. No matter who is in office, it is not a good system. But, the confederacy didn’t work either.

      What about the Supreme Court?

      What about the Military?

What about the poor states who rely on Fed Funding?
