Apple Computer Inc. has begun hiring for new location located in Uptown Minneapolis on Hennepin Ave. On the career section for the computer maker is accepting applications starting January 13, 2010.

According to local reports the new Apple store may be built on 3018 Hennepin Ave S. It used to be home to the Uptown Bar & Café that closed back in November.

When it comes to stores openings, new product releases Apple is one of the few companies that can built excitement and hype these events. The last store opening was June 10th in the Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka, Mn.

That store opening offered free Ridgedale T-shirts and free in store demos. Expect large crowds to gather for this store opening since the company has loyal follower and possesses great marketing campaigns.

What is interesting about the store opening, other than selling the revolutionary iPhone and Macintosh computer, they will be competing for customers with their authorized reseller First Tech. First Tech has been in business and the longest reseller for 31 years, according to the company website.

Reader’s comments from the Minneapolis & St. Paul Business Journal and The Mac Observer have voiced their concerns over this new Apple store in Uptown. With due time will see what the future holds for First Tech and the new Minneapolis store.
