Glenn Beck, as well as a number of other Conservative commentators, have recently made claims that the United States is a Christian Nation, that we are in a religious war and that our Founding Fathers wanted us to be a Christian Nation.
What do you think?

Glenn Beck only represents a very small faction and him and the rest of them are not very popular nation wide. We can thank god for that.

Statistically, i suppose, there is a preponderance of christians, however there is not and should not be any official state religion.
If demoCRAP ideals are so superior to conservatives, and if demoCRAPs have such an overwhelming power in our government, why is it that the country is in worse shape than at any time under GWB?

I thank God for the opportunity that my family and I had to attend the Beck rally. The peacefulness of the sermons, the kind people I met and the patriotism I felt from the crowd made the event even better than I could have ever imagined. Sarah Palin was inspirational and down to earth. I enjoyed listing to… everyone who spoke at the event. I had the great opportunity of meeting and shaking Michele Backmann’s hand. Restoring Honor (Faith, Hope and Charity).This event has truly helped strengthen my spirit and all that I believe to be true in my heart. Thanks to Glenn for putting together this extraordinary event. God bless America, God bless the U.S.A.
Anyone who follows Beck, Palin and Bachmann and thinks they’re patriotic and peaceful certainly has several screws loose.
All of you who profess to be so religious don’t recognize that the Jesus you so revere would never approve of anything you guys are doing!

Glenn Beck and his Conservative scumbag cronies have no clue what it means to be American. They are absolutely, 110% wrong about America as a Christian Nation. We are a plural nation that respects the right of individuals to hold whatever beliefs that person desires. The fact that the loudest fringe elements (i.e. Beck, Limbaugh) call us a Christian Nation does not mean that the loudest elements represent the majority of the Country. We are not now, nor should we ever be a Christian Nation. We’ve been trampling on the separation of church and state and freedom of religion (or from religion) for far too long in this Country, and its time we wake up and get back to respecting the First Amendment.
No, we are not a Christian nation as much as we are not a White nation as much as we are not a Male nation. This country belongs to all, believers and non-believers, Whites and non-Whites, women and men. At least, it’s supposed to.
Anyone who thinks this country was founded as a Christian nation is deluded. Read and study the Constitution and the writings of the founders and you will know that we are a nation where anyone is free to follow a religion or not. We have no state religion and for that I am grateful.
