Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina is fear mongering, this is clear. But she is also a peddler of misinformation and lies. In one of the most egregious and striking comparisons yet, Rep. Foxx said that the Democrat’s health care bill should be feared MORE then terrorism. “I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country.”
So let me get this straight. I should be fearful of the Democrat’s attempts to reform health care. I should be MORE fearful of the Democrats then Al-Qaeda or angry white supremacists blowing up buildings? Okay, this does not make any sense to me. Not only should our leaders stop their fear mongering tactics but they should actually work to get reform done. Have you noticed how so many of the GOP leaders are outspoken against reform, but they have nothing else to offer? They have no new ideas of their own and it is pathetic.
So, instead of coming up with an idea that would bring reform, they just say ‘no’ and try to strike fear into the hearts of their constituents.
Foxx continues her plea for mass hysteria and delusional psychosis, “I share that fear, and I believe they should be fearful. And I believe the greatest fear that we all should have to our freedom comes from this room – this very room – and what may happen later this week in terms of a tax increase bill masquerading as a health care bill.”
Well, if you say it enough, I guess you must be right. Yes, we must fear this bill and fear the Democrats! They are to be feared more so then terrorists too! So, does this mean we should plant some yellow cake uranium in the DNC? I think so! Because all of American must fear them because they are evil, just like terrorists, and they want to give you health care, just like the terrorists. Are you scared yet? You should be!
Well, at least the fear mongering of Rep. Foxx is not unreasoning or unjustified, right?
“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself—nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance. In every dark hour of our national life a leadership of frankness and vigor has met with that understanding and support of the people themselves which is essential to victory. I am convinced that you will again give that support to leadership in these critical days.”- Franklin Delano Roosevelt
