Cheney in 2012

Cheney in 2012

It looks like the effects of Toxoplasma gondii are starting to show. The mass delusions and neurological damage can be the only explanation for this. There is a movement that is gaining popularity and their sole mission is to convince Dick Cheney to run for president in 2012.

We hope that you will join our effort to convince former Vice President Richard Cheney to run for President of the United States in 2012. No other Republican leader has the stature or experience of Dick Cheney. He alone can lead the Republican coalition to victory in 2012!

Now, I am as big a fan of good ole’ Dick as any other patriotic American. Who didn’t like his articulate rebuttal of, “Go f*ck yourself,” when speaking to Sen. Patrick Leahy? Or, who hasn’t wanted to shoot one of their friends while hunting? These are all qualities that any leader should possess. Just like Sarah Palin and her incredible eye-sight (she claims to see Russia all the way from Alaska).

Cheney may not be a good friend, colleague or hunter, but he is one helluva politician. He is astute enough to know how his comments will be received and how his target audience will respond. Recently, Dick has been on quite a tear, ripping into the policies of President Obama.

“I begin to get nervous when I see the commander in chief making decisions apparently for what I would describe as small ‘p’ political reasons, where he’s trying to balance off different competing groups in society.”

Obama “doesn’t believe in American exceptionalism — the idea that the United States is a special nation, that we are the greatest, freest nation mankind has ever known.”

“He obviously has a very robust agenda of change — health care system, cap and trade, redistribution of wealth. I rarely hear him talk about the private sector.”

“Every time he delays, defers, debates, changes his position, it begins to raise questions: Is the commander in chief really behind what they’ve been asked to do?”

Cheney would be a horrible candidate for the Republicans. He is a polarizing figure made in the likeness of Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, David Duke or Mike Pence. These people will never be able to win a majority of the vote, or much more then 30%. As long as we are a two party system we do not have to worry about extremists like these. They will not be able to win national elections on their own. Cheney without Bush would have seemed too partisan, same with Palin without having McCain.

But, I have been wrong before and I would love to see the Obama-Cheney debates. Even though I disagree with Cheney, he would be able to debate well and it would be quite the spectacle. No matter who runs for the Republicans in 2012, the primaries and election process will be fun to watch!

There comes a time when deceit and defiance must be seen for what they are. At   that point, a gathering danger must be directly confronted. At that point, we must show that beyond our resolutions is actual resolve.

            -Dick Cheney.

One Response to “Cheney in 2012”

  1. Rob Horner says:

I agree. Cheney would be horrible. Yes! He’s as cagey and slick a Machiavellian character as anyone could ever imagine. Unfortunately, we didn’t have to imagine him did we? He and his “sh** for for brains” cohort were responsible for dismantling what semblance of democracy we had ever attained. Unfortunately, Obama appears to become more Washingtonized everyday, seen getting cozy with the Corporates in a way that I know is making Bernie Sanders nauseous. However, at least we “see” the POLITICAL PROCESS WITH ALL IT’S INEFFICIENCIES AT WORK AGAIN. The Congress is actually working full work weeks. No more Cheney, please! We need the democratic process, not a cabal.
