She did it! She has finally beaten all odds and is now the newest member of the US Supreme Court! The Senate confirmed her in a 68-31 vote. The Judge who permanently has her foot in her mouth (and maybe in other places too), has been appointed!

Sonia Sotomayor, a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit since 1997, was a “qualified” candidate for the Supreme Court and will most likely do a great job. She just has a problem of saying stupid things, but who doesn’t?

“Justice O’Connor has often been cited as saying that a wise old
man and wise old woman will reach the same conclusion in deciding
cases. I am not so sure Justice O’Connor is the author of that line
since Professor Resnik attributes that line to Supreme Court
Justice Coyle. I am also not so sure that I agree with the
statement.
