Not Sure, will check back.

Not Sure, will check back.

Ignorance is one of the leading problems in the world of politics. It has been for a long and most likely will continue. To many, this sounds harsh, dismissive and arguably ignorant. But, let me explain.

MN GOP has Killed the Moderate.

MN GOP has Killed the Moderate.

Recently, the GOP of MN announced that Tom Emmer would be their candidate for Governor.  Emmer, known for being in the far-right of the Republican Party, is a big shift in thinking for the MN GOP. No longer is the MN GOP a party of fiscal responsibility or moderate politics. Instead they are the victims of an orchestrated takeover of the party by the most extreme elements of it.

Pawlenty asked: “Why do you hate the poor?”

Pawlenty asked: “Why do you hate the poor?”

This was too good to pass up, I read this and just thought I had to share. The Governor of Minnesota, Tim Pawlenty, has a radio show and apparently things got a little out of control. Most of this backlash is due to Pawlenty’s attempts to block funding for education, unemployment benefits and a number of other worthwhile and necessary programs.  Why Minnesotans voted for this guy I will never know, but he has done a lot of damage to this great state. Just look at our national rankings.

Ron Paul Wins!

Ron Paul Wins!

This news just came across the wire not more then 30 minutes ago. It is official, Ron Paul has won a straw poll that was conducted by the notorious CPAC.  You can see one of the speaker’s remarks here. Although this remark is one of less-professional of the bunch. But, calling your president a cocaine abuser seems to be popular.

‘T-Pa’, GOP Answer Man

‘T-Pa’, GOP Answer Man

“T-Pa” as President? You better believe it! The one-man veto machine (commonly referred to as Governor Pawlenty) might be taking his show on the road. He has recently announced his intentions to not run for a third term as Governor of Minnesota. This means that he has something else up his sleeve because it would be very odd for Pawlenty, at age 48, to end his political career.

The Great Republican Schism

The Great Republican Schism

Tim Pawlenty took a major swing at the GOP leadership today by endorsing Conservative Party member Doug Hoffman over GOP rival Dede Scozzafava in an election for the U.S. House. Pawlenty has joined other prominent members of the GOP including Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson and the always fair and balanced New York Post.

Pawlenty explained his maneuver, “we cannot send more politicians to Washington who wear the Republican jersey on the campaign trail, but then vote like Democrats in Congress.”

So, why would the some of the Repubs jump ship to support the more conservative candidate? Well, I believe Doug Hoffman says it best:

Pawlenty Poll

Pawlenty Poll

In a recent poll of 1,000 adults conducted by Star Tribune only 30% of Minnesotans supported a White House run for Republican governor Tim Pawlenty. The question that garnered a whopping 30% of support was, “Would you like to see Tim Pawlenty run for president in 2012, or not?”

In response to that question, 30% of all respondents said “yes,” 55% said “no,” and 15% either didn’t have an opinion or refused to answer.
