With the beginning of Thursday Night Football, I want to rant a little bit on how too many changes have been made for the worse.  Look no further then tonight an NFL game, which is always a big deal, will air and many people will have no access to watch it.  Sure it is available if you want to pay for it but it’s not worth it for just a few games.

Brock Lesnar was forced to pull out of his upcoming fight with Shane Carwin again due to being diagnosed with mononucleosis.  The bout for the UFC heavyweight championship was originally scheduled for UFC 106 on November 21^st.  That fight was cancelled after Brock was unable get a full training camp in because he was too fatigued to train properly.  Originally there was a belief Lesnar may have contracted the H1N1 flu.  The fight was then tentatively scheduled for UFC 108 on January 2^nd.  Now that the news that the champ mono has broken the fight has been pushed back to March at the earliest.

The Hot Stove league has begun before people had a chance to realize the season was over.  My favorite team is the Minnesota Twins and the off season has gotten off to an interesting start.  You could look at the trade as a back up outfielder traded for a utility infielder.  Another way to look at it is trading a valuable prospect with large potential for a past all star that was demoted to the minors this past season.

Once again for the 27^th time the Yankees are World Series Champions.  Their legions of fans are overjoyed.  On the flipside, an even larger number of fans are furious.  It seems that if you are not a fan of the Yankees then you probably hate them with a violent passion.  ESPN or other sports media does not help matters with constant coverage of the team.  But why do people hate them so much?  Don’t get me wrong I am not a fan of the Yankees, I really don’t like them but I don’t hate them like so many people do.
