So, I was wrong about a few of those games. I went 2-2 in my predictions, missing the Jets victory over the Chargers and the Saints destruction of the Cardinals defense.

The once great MLB pitcher Curt Schilling has been known for his off the cuff remarks and fanatical and ignorant adherence to Republicanism. Schilling has made a number of remarks that can only lead me to believe he does not know what the Republican Party stands for.

1. New Jersey Nets – John Wall (Kentucky) – PG – The obvious choice. Not only is he the best basketball player in College, but the best basketball player in the world that’s not in the NBA, he’s that good. He is the only player in this draft who has the ability to turn a franchise around.

1. New Jersey Nets – John Wall – PG – Kentucky (Favors probably fits more of a need, can a Devin Harris/John Wall backcourt work?
2. Minnesota Timberwolves – Derrick Favors – PF – Georgia Tech (Trade somewhere, they need everything but a PF, maybe Aldrich or Wes Johnson here too, I’d say Turner too, but they don’t need another player that has to have the ball in his hands)

The 1990s and the 2000s have been dominated by players who have used performance enhancing chemicals. This will forever be known as the steroid era. Just like the spit ball in the early 1900s and amphetamines in the 1970s and 1980s. The Hall of Fame has a few choices to make and only two are rational. They can ignore the steroid use and just judge the statistics for what they are. Or, they can refuse to let any player from this era into the Hall of Fame.

Look no further then tonight an NFL game, which is always a big deal, will air and many people will have no access to watch it. Sure it is available if you want to pay for it but it’s not worth it for just a few games.

Brock Lesnar was forced to pull out of his upcoming fight with Shane Carwin again due to being diagnosed with mononucleosis. The bout for the UFC heavyweight championship was originally scheduled for UFC 106 on November 21st. The Hot Stove league has begun before people had a chance to realize the season was over. My favorite team is the Minnesota Twins and the off season has gotten off to an interesting start. You could look at the trade as a back up outfielder traded for a utility infielder. Another way to look at it is trading a valuable prospect with large potential for a past all star that was demoted to the minors this past season.

Once again for the 27th time the Yankees are World Series Champions. Their legions of fans are overjoyed. On the flipside, an even larger number of fans are furious. It seems that if you are not a fan of the Yankees then you probably hate them with a violent passion. ESPN or other sports media does not help matters with constant coverage of the team. But why do people hate them so much? Don’t get me wrong I am not a fan of the Yankees, I really don’t like them but I don’t hate them like so many people do.
