The Body of bin Laden

The Body of bin Laden

We were able to see some images from Yahoo, but the internet was overwhelmed that day and our schools TVs were unfortunately down for repair.  We discussed what happened and what could happen next. We all knew we were going to war. This weighed heavily with Mr. Sufka who was an Army Reservist, as well as one of our best teachers.

Franken becoming Dems Future Leader?

Franken becoming Dems Future Leader?

Sen. Franken has faced a daunting challenge in his first year as a US Senator. He barely won a highly contested and much publicized election with Norm Coleman and is part of a party/movement that is losing momentum rather quickly. Franken has also had to overcome a number of other obstacles. USA Marijuana for Profit.

USA Marijuana for Profit.

How can one manage the budget, fight multiple wars and have socially progressive programs? This seems like a recipe for disaster, bankruptcy and possibly far worse.

Tea Party Fear and Hate.

Tea Party Fear and Hate.

Everyday I get more and more befuddled by the mess that we call the news. I am shocked to see so many people attack science, intellectualism and education. I am shocked to see so many people cling to pre-modern beliefs that are bad ideas. I am not talking about beliefs such as religion or morality; those are for individuals to choose on their own.
