The House Democrats are proposing a resolution officially disapproving of Rep. Joe Wilson’s usage of the words “you lie.” Most people would agree that this is not appropriate conduct for our Congress. Some are urging that he resigns, or apologize in a formal manner on the floor of the house. I was shocked when I heard what Rep. Wilson shouted, but I did not “dislike” it. In many other countries, including England, China, and France, the politics gets rough and rowdy. It is also very entertaining.
Politicians are obviously thick-skinned people; otherwise they wouldn’t be in this line of work. So, why are they always bickering about the littlest infractions, insults or issues? It is simple, they are petty. They are very, very, very petty people who need attention.
The House Minority Leader, Rep. Boehner is one of these petty people and he strongly disagrees with all things Democrat.
“Rep. Wilson has apologized to the President, and the President accepted his apology. Last Thursday, Speaker Pelosi said that she believed it was time to move on and discuss health care. I couldn’t agree more, and that’s why I plan to vote ‘no’ on this resolution. Instead of pursuing this type of petty partisanship, we should be working together to lower costs and expand access to affordable, high-quality health coverage on behalf of the American people.”In this case, Boehner is correct; politicians today are “pursuing this type of petty partisanship.” They “should be working together to lower costs and expand access to affordable, high-quality health coverage on behalf of the American people.” Sadly this is not the case. Instead we have politicians who intentionally spread rumors and yell out things such as, “you lie,” to our Commander in Chief.

Now that Joe Wilson has been punnished for his lack of decorum during the President’s speech; I just have one question. When are the punnishment resolutions against the Dems. who Booed Bush during his State of the Union speech going to be voted on?
